I stumbled upon Bangkok Cuisine back before they had multiple locations and my wife and I fell in love with the food! Fast forward a few years and turns out I took an English class with the nephew of the owner and he was a great guy and turns out he waited tables at the restaurant. Anyway long story short, this food is authentic and very tasty, you won't be disappointed. But I am disappointed that I am moving out of the state and will not be able to enjoy such amazing Thai food! But I will have a new reason to visit....The Tahoe Rim Trail and Bangkok Cuisine! Two amazing places!
I was convinced I did not like Thai food. That is, until I tried Bangkok Cuisine. The atmosphere is quiet, and inspires rich conversation with company; and when alone, deep contemplation. By the time you get your meal, which is indubitably delicious, the experience reaches its pinnacle. My personal favorite is the Broccoli with beef. With a little extra spice, it's the ultimate. All I will say is this: the broccoli, always cooked to perfection, mixes beautifully with the beef, and the dish, combined with a bowl of perfectly cooked, steamed jasmine rice makes for a culinary crescendo, the likes of which are impossible to find in any other Thai restaurant in Northern Nevada. I live in Reno, and work in Carson City, and have yet to find a Thai restaurant that rivals Bangkok. The quality is unparalleled. The service, unmatched. And the rice...let's just say the rice will get eaten.
During my travels, I've accumalated many memmories with my culinary journeys.I usually enjoy bringing a celebrity or businee associate with me. Recently my guest Phil Nabors joined me in what I consider, the most enjoyable culinary journey I've experienced in a long time. The Panong Curry and the Tom Yum soup was excellent, not to mention the service and the ambiance.Celebrity Scene News, my company, rates Bangkok Cuisine 5 stars. We thank Lisa, our hostess, Reni, the bar manager, and Mom, the executive chef who guards her family recipes.Thank you, Peter Allman.
I have been dining at Bangkok Cuisine for many, many years and it is always a treat! The menu features a nice variety of delicious dishes, and although I typically stick to my favorite (panang curry), I have tried several other items and have enjoyed everything. Weekly lunch special is a great deal and is prepared quickly. Service is excellent. If you haven't been here, you need to try it. 🙂
So tasty!!! I had a friend visit from the SF Bay, where he enjoys some of the world's best Asian cuisine. He said this is better than any Thai food he's had there. Love the vegan basket appetizer, the sizzling platter and Panang Curry! Excellent service every time!
This has become me and my girlfriend's favorite Thai restaurant in Reno. Very Thai feel to it. Servers are very good and your order gets taken fast and served fast. The food is THAI! It is very authentic as my family has many Thailand born members in it. I grew up with this cuisine. We love the Tom Yum soup with chicken or prawns. And the Pad Thai is good for cooling food. But we both love the 3 star Green Curry. Sweet hot fresh..PERFECT!
The portion sizes are huge, they greet you warmly, the service is outstanding, and the food....so very tasty! The prices are very fair. I love this place!!!
Came here based on the reviews. Just visiting from Vegas. Ordered the wanton soup and pud see ew w/chicken. The wanton soup had peas, baby corn, sliced pork, wanton, carrots, and cabbage. Great flavor and really filling. The pud see ew was very spicy, ordered level four out of five. That was delicious. Service was great. Only negative was the parking situation. Don't park in the east parking otherwise you might find a boot. Total price for my meal $15.99. Will come again. Enjoy!
Visiting town we found this place with a Yelp reco. Outstanding experience all around. Highly recommended.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The food is of good quality, the service is usually good, though sometimes they are very busy. The prices are not bad if you control what you are ordering. If you are having trouble finding parking, just park in the large lot across the street where a bridal shop is (or used to be).
